We are seeking a talented, energetic and commercially driven Business Development Manager with experience in both conference production and sponsorship and exhibition sales to join our automotive team.

About The Role...

The dynamic multi-faceted role of an LBC Business Development Manager involves:

  • Conducting in-depth research with senior decision-makers at FTSE 100 companies to determine the content and product direction of the conference agenda
  • Writing detailed and engaging conference agendas that deliver specific commercial benefits
  • Securing top-level speakers from some of the world's largest and most well reputed companies
  • Driving the sponsorship sales strategy and marketing campaign through individual new business development and account management and through dedicated sales and marketing teams
  • Spearheading the running and management of the event on the day

The successful candidate must have:

  • A minimum of 18 months conference production experience and are looking to work in a high energy-high reward environment
  • A proven and highly successful track record of corporate sponsorship and exhibition sales with a strong portfolio of contacts in the automotive industry
  • Specific expertise, knowledge and experience of the automotive industry, particularly in lightweight materials
  • Are extremely ambitious, driven and able to take an energetic and enthusiast approach to telephone-based research, speaker acquisition, and sales
  • Have a genuine unwaveringly determined approach to achieving success with a proven record of a minimum of 6 conferences
  • Take a positive and solutions-focused approach to overcoming challenges in order to reach ambitious goals; someone who can always see the opportunities rather than be blinded by adversity
  • Have a strong academic record and are able to translate academic intelligence into business-acumen and commercial success
  • Are motivated by financial rewards and are willing to put in the hard work necessary to achieve them
