Head of Lead Strategy: Oil & Gas Division

The Role
This is a new commercially focused role designed to add significant value to our existing campaign management process. Working closely with the sponsorship sales team and production you will be tasked with building the sponsorship leads for each campaign to maximise revenues on each event.
As Head of Lead Strategy you will:
* Design the Lead Strategy for sponsorship for all Oil and Gas Conferences (currently 48 events per year)
* Prioritize the lead categories, clearly identifying the categories for macro partner targets, second tier sponsors and exhibitors
* Present the Lead Strategy to the sales team via sponsorship campaign meetings and provide guidance and leadership on leads to the sponsorship sales team
* Review and assess the Lead Strategy for each event during the sales campaign, redesigning the strategy when appropriate
* Generate and deliver specific and detailed leads for all solution categories and sponsorship levels from Headline Sponsor to Exhibitors
Who the role is for:
This is a senior commercially focused role that can make a significant contribution to the growth of sponsorship revenues across the Oil and Gas portfolio.
The ideal candidate will:
* Possess some knowledge of the Oil and Gas sector (particularly upstream and unconventional)
* Currently be in a sales or new business development role, where lead generation is critical to success, and will be known for their ability to find perfect leads
* Have an understanding of why companies purchase sponsorship at business conferences
* Be commercially minded and financially motivated
* Have strong investigative and research skills
* Possess creativity and be able to visualize non obvious opportunities
* Be able to clearly communicate the lead strategy to the rest of the team
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong sales or business development background who may be looking for a role with a different focus.
You will be integral to the continued growth of sponsorship revenues across some of the most innovative and detailed agenda's in the marketplace.
